Minimum Educational Qualifications: A candidate must hold a Bachelor’s degree of a University incorporated by an Act of the Central or State Legislature in India or other educational institutions established by an Act of Parliament or declared to be deemed as a University under Section-3 of the University Grants Commission Act, 1956 or possess an equivalent qualification.
Age Limits: A candidate must have attained the age of 20 years and must not have attained the age of 25 years.

- Height : 165 cm for Man and 157 cm For Women
- Chest : 81 cm (with 5 cm minimum expansion)
- Weight : 50 kg. for Man and 46 kg. For Women
- 100 Meters race : 16 seconds for Man and 18 seconds For Women
- 800 Meters race : 3 minutes 45 seconds for Man and 4 minutes 45 seconds For Women
- Long Jup : 3.5 Meters (3 chances) for Man and 3.0 meters (3 chances) For Women
- Shot Put : (7.26 Kgs.) 4.5 Meters for Man
